Make the next cup your own.
Scale the dose to your vessel, time a steep, and keep the details that let you repeat a good cup.
The calculation, in plain sight
The ratio calculator uses this formula: new tea mass = reference tea mass × new water volume ÷ reference water volume. A 5 g / 100 ml recipe in a 150 ml vessel therefore calls for 5 × 150 ÷ 100 = 7.5 g. The arithmetic preserves a ratio; it does not predict taste or account for the vessel’s heat retention.
Start with the label, then test one change
Product presets come from the linked supplier listings. They are particular starting points for those teas, not universal instructions for a whole tea category. If your cup is not where you want it, keep the other parameters fixed while you try a different time, dose, or temperature. Make your own observations in the journal.
