Browsing and purchases
You do not need an account to browse KongMing. This website does not collect payment-card numbers. When you proceed with an available payment method, checkout submits your name, email, delivery address and selected products to our server to save an order. If online payment is available, the required order details are sent to Stripe to authorize payment. An unpaid order can be saved while merchant setup is pending; that does not send a charge or mark the order paid. We store the order reference, items, totals, delivery/contact details and provider payment identifiers in a private order database for fulfillment, support and transaction records. We do not use order details for marketing without a separate choice. Contact us with your order reference about access or deletion; transaction records may need to be retained for accounting and disputes. Address fields are not saved in browser storage by this website. Stripe handles payment credentials under its privacy notice. Stripe Checkout opens only when an available payment is requested. Older PayPal payment references can still be checked through PayPal; its privacy notice applies to those transactions.
Shopping cart, saved teas and brewing journal
Cart product identifiers, pack indexes and quantities use kongming-cart-v1; no payment-card or address details are saved in that cart. The key kongming-payment-pending-v1 keeps only a pending payment reference, provider order ID and purchased item identifiers so an interrupted payment can be checked without paying twice. It does not contain your name, email or address. Stripe recovery uses kongming-stripe-pending-v1, holding only a request reference, selected item identifiers and a provider session reference. It does not hold your name, email, address or card details. The clear-cart button does not erase an unresolved payment record; contact support before starting another payment if one is awaiting confirmation. Saved tea identifiers use the local-storage key kongming-tea-selection-v1. Your voluntary journal entries use kongming-brew-log-v1 and may include the tea name, dose, water, temperature, time and your notes. These records stay in your browser and are not uploaded or synchronized. Only enter information you want to keep on your device, and export a copy before clearing data. The timer and ratio calculator run in the browser.
Contacting us
Our form sends the topic, message and optional reply email to this website’s server. Messages are kept in a private database and deleted after 90 days, with cleanup at least hourly while the service is running. A short-lived, in-memory IP-based rate limit helps reduce abuse; the IP is not added to the feedback record. You can request earlier deletion using the submission reference. Email sent to our Gmail address is handled by the email provider and the operator for responding to your enquiry; do not email sensitive payment details.
Server requests
Ordinary web requests expose your IP address, URL, time, browser information and referring page to the server. These can appear in protected server access and error logs used for operation and troubleshooting. We do not publish those logs. Product photographs are served from this website’s own assets.
Google AdSense
The homepage, brewing tools and individual editorial guides load the Google AdSense script for publisher ca-pub-6302610407302884. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and page URL. Google and its advertising partners may set or access cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on visits to this and other sites. Personalized advertising is subject to applicable consent requirements and available privacy choices.
Manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center, read Google’s advertising privacy information, and see participating companies’ advertising choices. Clearing the cart, saved teas and journal entries here does not clear Google cookies or change advertising preferences. KongMing does not send your journal or selection as custom ad signals and has no separate analytics tool.
